Jujube, 'So'

One of the original early USDA introductions coming from China in the early 1900's with a very unique, zig-zagging branch structure that is striking, particularly in the winter. Compact, small trees with round fruit that have a pleasing tartness to them hard to find in most other varieties. This is always one of the earliest varieties to ripen for us, and is an excellent fresh-eating and ornamental cultivar.
